Dr. Alexandra Mittner, DVM

Dr. Alexandra Mittner is a 2014 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine — a U.S. accredited veterinary school on the island of St. Kitts in the West Indies. She is certified in Acupuncture and Food Therapy from The Chi Institute in Ocala, FL. Over the last decade, Dr. Mittner has focused on small animal practice, driven by a passion for complementary modalities in pain management and chronic care. As a doctor of Integrative Medicine, she offers the best of both traditional medicine and eastern and western practices, including herbal products. Dr. Mittner grew up in the Detroit area, graduated from Oakland University, and moved to Northern Michigan in 2017 to be close to family and pursue her dream of a mini farm. When not working or chasing kids and chickens, she can be found hiking with her dogs or enjoying one of the many lakes Northern Michigan has to offer.
